1. Offline Architecture

PupTone is built as a self-contained local utility tool. All high-frequency whistle configurations, safety threshold toggles, saved presets, and clicker parameters are processed directly on your iPhone or iPad and saved locally via Apple's local app storage database (UserDefaults/AppStorage). We run no external servers and have no technical capability to view, sync, share, or sell your data.

2. Device Permissions

PupTone values your privacy and requires no runtime permissions to function:

• No Network Access: The application does not require internet access and does not connect to any servers.
• No Microphone Access: We generate sound output; we do not record audio.
• No Location Access: Location tracking is not required or implemented.
• No Notifications: No background notification permissions are requested in the initial version.

3. Local Data and Device Backups

Your saved custom frequencies and settings are stored locally in the application's secure sandbox. If you back up your iOS device to Apple iCloud, your settings are included in your standard device backup under Apple's standard terms of service. We do not have access to these files.

4. App Store Diagnostic Data

To help maintain app stability and eliminate bugs, we receive aggregated, anonymous crash reports from Apple if you have consented to share diagnostics with developers in your iOS system settings. These reports contain only basic system architecture information and do not include any user identifiers or details of your pet training routines.

5. Third-Party Libraries

PupTone uses only Apple's native APIs (AVFoundation, CoreHaptics, and SwiftUI). We do not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytic trackers, or social sign-ins, keeping your training environment safe from telemetry and background traffic.
