TL;DR: NoisePro operates with zero-data-collection principles. We do not record, store, transmit, or share your audio data. All decibel processing occurs strictly on-device in real time.
1. On-Device Processing Architecture
NoisePro utilizes the microphone on your iOS device exclusively to calculate sound pressure levels (decibels). The application uses Apple's AVAudioEngine to stream short buffers of audio into memory, calculates the Root Mean Square (RMS) and decibel values, and immediately discards the audio buffer. At no point is audio data saved to a file, database, or cloud server.
2. Permissions
The application requires the following permissions to function:
- Microphone: Strictly required to sample the ambient environment and calculate noise levels. Without this permission, the core functionality of the application cannot operate.
3. PDF Reports and Local Storage
If you choose to generate HSE inspection reports, these PDF files are generated locally and stored exclusively in your device's sandbox. We do not have access to these files. You control their distribution via the standard iOS Share Sheet.
4. Analytics and Crash Reporting
To improve app stability, we may collect anonymous, non-identifying crash logs via standard Apple SDKs. These logs contain no personal information or audio data.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any modifications will be reflected on this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app prompt.
