We're here to help you get the most out of AeroRatio. Check our frequently asked questions below or contact our support team.
AeroRatio uses a physics-based model that takes into account the paint's base viscosity coefficient, the diameter of your airbrush nozzle, the air pressure (PSI), the desired painting effect (e.g. primer, basecoat, glaze), and ambient evaporation factors (temperature and humidity) to suggest the optimal drops of paint, thinner, and flow improver.
AeroRatio comes with a preloaded catalog of over 1,500 paints from wargaming and scale modeling brands, including Citadel (Base, Layer, Air, Contrast, Shade, etc.), Vallejo (Model Color, Game Color, Model Air, etc.), The Army Painter, Pro Acryl, Scale75, and Tamiya. You can also create your own custom paint profiles with specific viscosity ratings.
All your saved recipes are located in the Journal tab. You can edit recipe names, add notes, select a photo, scale the quantities for large painting sessions, or export the recipe as an A4 PDF sheet for printing.
In the Journal tab, you can build paint sequences by stacking multiple recipes (up to 5 steps, e.g. ApprĂȘt/Primer -> Basecoat -> Highlight -> Varnish). This allows you to document your entire painting workflow for a project or miniature squad.
If you encounter airbrushing issues such as tip dry, clogging, orange peel, splattering, pooling, or spiderwebbing, go to the Diagnostics tab. It provides an interactive step-by-step diagnostic tree that helps you identify the symptoms and suggests corrective actions.
